Entry Fees


In an effort to keep costs down for online retailers we have changed the fees for 2022. Instead of paying for each first entry and then each subsequent entry at a lower rate, you will only pay a first entry fee for 2022 of £250.00 plus UK VAT, if applicable.  Any second or subsequent entry will be entered free of any charge.  This not only reduces the overall cost for you, but it also reduces the time spent making payment for each entry online.

The Prix d’OR category cannot be entered as the winner is decided by the judges.

What does the entry fee cover?

This is an administration fee covering the personnel costs involved in checking entries and their bona fides, collating all entries and bookmarking them for the judges’ ease of access, convening the judging panels, supervising the judging events, including providing any venue and covering all catering costs, compiling the judges’ scores and publicising the short-list on the Online Retailer Awards’ website, through PR broadcasts and on the online or offline pages of media partners’ publications.

Retailers or their agencies may enter as many categories as they have divisions or brands. If an agency or e-commerce company wishes to enter on behalf of different online retailers, then they will need to pay a first entry fee for each client, though second or subsequent entries for the same client will be free of charge.

Payment System

You can pay online only, using all the options offered by the secure PayPal for business system. You do not need to have a PayPal account as you are able to click on the “Pay by debit/credit card” link. You will receive an automatic acknowledgement of your entries, when you click to pay and you will receive an automated receipt from PayPal as confirmation of your payment. You will receive an official VAT invoice, separately, showing VAT at the correct applicable rate, to acknowledge formally the receipt of both your payment and your entry(ies). If you prefer to pay by transfer from bank-to-bank, please ignore the PayPal payment page and, instead, use the payment button on the invoice you will receive.

You will see references on the acknowledgements, receipts or invoices you receive. These references will be either Online Retailer Awards or Stratford Projects Limited.

Entries may be withdrawn at any point up to March 31, 2022 upon email request to Helen Warrilow, commercial director. Entry fees will not be refunded if an entry is withdrawn.


By way of advance notice, please note that we will always run an event to celebrate the success of Finalists after judging is complete. It may a physical event, where table places will be available at a rate per person, or an online event, where a fee per Finalist company will be made, but these charges will be additional to any entry fees. Being part of a physical event or online presentation is at the discretion of each Finalist company and the results declared are completely independent of participation.
